EatMe Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 20, 2026

Introduction

Welcome to EatMe ("we," "our," or "us"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the EatMe mobile application (the "App").

EatMe is a fast-paced cosmic arcade game. We are committed to being transparent about our data practices and keeping your gaming experience fun and private.

Data We Collect

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

EatMe stores the following information locally on your device:

  • Game Progress: High scores, largest mass achieved, highest tier, best combos, and survival times
  • Statistics: Total games played, lifetime score, and other performance metrics
  • Gems & Skins: Collected gems, unlocked skins, and currently equipped skin
  • Game Settings: Audio preferences, control sensitivity, and other gameplay options

All of this data remains exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Advertising Data

EatMe includes optional rewarded video ads (e.g., "Second Chance" feature). When you choose to watch an ad, our ad partner may collect certain information in accordance with their own privacy policies, including:

  • Device type and operating system version
  • Advertising identifier (IDFA, if you have opted in via Apple's App Tracking Transparency)
  • General ad interaction data (whether an ad was viewed to completion)

Important: Rewarded ads are entirely optional. You are never required to watch an ad to play the game. The "Second Chance" feature is an opt-in convenience.

In-App Purchase Data

EatMe may offer optional in-app purchases. All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. Apple handles all payment processing according to their privacy policy.

Information We Do NOT Collect

EatMe does not collect:

  • Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
  • User accounts or login credentials
  • Location data
  • Contacts, photos, or other personal device data
  • Health or fitness data

How We Use Your Information

Since game data is stored locally on your device, we do not "use" your gameplay information. The data exists solely to provide the game's functionality:

  • Saving your high scores and personal bests
  • Tracking unlocked skins and gem counts
  • Maintaining game settings and preferences
  • Displaying statistics and progress within the app

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. The only scenario where data may be shared with a third party is:

  • Ad Partners: If you opt in to watch rewarded video ads, our ad provider may collect limited device and ad interaction data as described above. This is governed by their privacy policy.
  • Apple: In-app purchases are processed by Apple according to their terms.

We do not operate analytics services, user tracking, or data collection servers for EatMe.

Data Storage and Security

Your game data is stored using your device's secure local storage:

  • Data is protected by iOS encryption and sandboxing features
  • Data is encrypted at rest when your device is locked
  • The app's storage is isolated from other apps
  • If enabled, data is included in your device's encrypted backups

Data Retention

Your game progress, stats, and unlocked content are retained on your device indefinitely until you choose to delete them by uninstalling the app or using any in-app reset option. We have no server-side retention policies because we don't store data on servers.

Your Choices

You have control over your data and experience:

  • Rewarded Ads: Watching ads is always optional; you can play without ever watching one
  • App Tracking Transparency: You can deny IDFA access when prompted by iOS, limiting ad personalization
  • Delete Data: Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data
  • No Account: No sign-up means nothing to manage or delete from servers

Children's Privacy

EatMe does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal data on servers, there are no special COPPA concerns. However, parents and guardians should be aware that optional rewarded ads are present in the app and may supervise their children's use accordingly.

International Users

EatMe is available worldwide. Since gameplay data is stored locally on your device and we don't operate data collection servers, there are no international data transfer concerns.

GDPR Compliance (European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain rights under GDPR. Since EatMe does not collect or store personal data on servers, most GDPR provisions do not apply to our direct data handling. However, ad partners operating within the app are independently responsible for GDPR compliance in their data processing.

CCPA Compliance (California Users)

If you are a California resident, CCPA grants you specific privacy rights. We do not sell personal information. Ad partners may collect limited device data as described above, and you can limit this through iOS privacy settings.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of EatMe after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Summary

The short version: EatMe stores your game progress locally on your device. We don't require accounts, don't track you, and don't sell your data. Optional rewarded ads are the only feature that involves a third party, and you're never forced to watch them. Your high scores and skins are yours alone.
